DCA V1 Admin Switch AT-9924T Useful commands

Goal

In this document we will take a look at some command ( admin ) for Switch AT-9924T .

Solution

1. Logon admin switch using telnet

telnet a-sw-1

2. Check temperature/fan status/Voltage

3. Check serial number

Manager a-sw-1> show system serialnumber

4. Check mac address and also serial number

Manager a-sw-1> show system factory
>mac address0: xxx
>software version: xxx
>software S/N: xxx

5. Show port status

For a single RACK DCA, 16 segment servers+2 master servers+2 interconnect switch use 20 ports.

So first 20 out of 24 ports in admin switch are in use.

" ifAdminStatus"=Up means the port is enabled in switch.

" ifOperStatus "=Up means the port has been connected.

6. Disable or Enable ports

Take not-in-use port24 as an example:

Manager a-sw-1> disable switch port=24
Info (1087003): Operation successful.

Then you could see from "show interface" output, the port24's " ifAdminStatus"= Down.

Manager a-sw-1>  enable switch port=24
Info (1087003): Operation successful.

7. Get system log

This is an important log we need to get.

Manager a-sw-1> show log

8. How to check if snmp is working fine.

We could get each port's status. Seems it just checks the "ifOperStatus".

9. Restart

Manager a-sw-1> restart reboot

10. Check switch error counter Pay attention to different kinds of "ERROR".

11. Admin Switch replace commands

set conf=none

restart reboot

enable ip

add ip int=vlan1 ipaddress=172.28.0.190 mask=255.255.248.0

create config=gp.cfg

set config=gp.cfg

restart reboot
