Using ICM it is possible to deploy a namenode without installing the hadoop-client rpm package. PXF will not function if the namenode does not have hadoop-client rpm installed. Internal JIRA HD-2480
ssh to namenode and run "yum install hadoop-client" or copy the hadoop-client rpm and install using "rpm -ivh hadoop-client*.rpm"
This issue has been fixed since PHD 1.0.3.
