Checks to verify a Voltage Probe reading alert

Problem

Voltage probe 13 reading: -0.0122 (lower non-critical)

Background

On Data Computing Appliance v2 (DCA v2), at a regular interval snmpwalk queries are triggered to verify the status of all the DCA components. If the output of any query is not within the desired threshold, then an alert is generated.

In case of Voltage Probe reading alert, Voltage component is identifed using the OID path .1.3.6.1.4.1.1139.23.1.2.1.8.7.

Troubleshooting

You may perform any of the below checks to verify the status of all voltage related components. If there is any components which does not report "normal/ok" status, please reach out to Pivotal support for further assistance at 1-800-SVC-EMC.

View the status of all Voltage components using ipmitool:

Run a snmpwalk query against all the Voltage components OID. In the below example, we will run it against a parent OID, which will traverse down all the child OIDsa and report their current value.
