Cause

By default in DCA v1 eth2 and eth3 1Gb interfaces are disabled on mdw and smdw. Enable these interfaces if they choose to but if there are enabled and nothing is plugged into a network switch then healthmon will report these interfaces as down. 

Solution

Choose to disable these interfaces or cable them up so the connection status is ok

  3. Disable interface eth2

  4. Verify status of eth2 is 4 ( disabled )
