    raise Fail( verify.get_notice() )
Fail: Host system verification failed:

x HAWQ user (gpadmin) must be in groups: [gpadmin, hadoop] - missing groups: ['hadoop']

Cause

This can happen if gpadmin user is not a member of the hadoop group on the local segment node. In most cases this will happen if user pre-creates the gpadmin user account the node

Fix

  1. vi /etc/group and add gpadmin user to the hadoop group
