gptransfer throws multiple erros like "Failed to transfer table " when transferring data to its destination database

Environment

Product Version
Pivotal Greenplum (GPDB) Below 4.3.6.1
OS RHEL 6.x

Symptom

Transferring the full source database (which has multiple database schemas) to a destination database via gptransfer results in the below error in the gptransfer logs found under gpAdminLogs.

[ERROR]:-Failed to transfer table source.schema1.test
[WARNING]:-Some tables failed to transfer.

Cause

The cause of the issue has been identified as a bug (25569) in the database version below 4.3.6.1, where only one schema gets created and the remaining relations under different schema errors out.

Refer to the release notes of Pivotal Greenplum version 4.3.6.1 for more details on the bug.

Resolution

Upgrade the database to 4.3.6.1 or later to overcome the issue.

Workaround

Follow the steps:

1. Before executing the gptransfer command, create all the schema from the source to the target database using.

CREATE SCHEMA <SCHEMA_NAME>

2. Execute the gptransfer command again.
