How to enable user management in Apps Manager

Product Version
Pivotal Cloud Foundry 1.6.x

By default, user management is disabled in Apps Manager. So you will see a message indicating "User management is disabled'" rather than any "Invite new members" link. The screenshot below shows the "User management is disabled" message in Apps manager in PCF 1.6 as an example; the actual message or appearance might differ based on your installed PCF version. This article will explain how to enable user management.

To enable user management in the Apps Manager, the ENABLE_INTERNAL_USER_STORE environment variable needs to be set to "true" (it is "false" by default). Follow the instructions here in the official PCF documentation to set the ENABLE_INTERNAL_USER_STORE variable to "true". This needs to be done for both, the apps-manager-blue and the apps-manager-green application.
