Operating System Patches (Red Hat) for Hardware on which Greenplum Database is Hosted

Environment

  • Pivotal Greenplum Database (GPDB) 4.3.x
  • Operating System (OS)- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.x

Introduction

At times customer's may contact Pivotal Support requesting OS patches for their Hardware that a Greenplum Database is running on.

Description

Pivotal does not provide any OS Patches for the hardware where a Greenplum Database is running on. If a customer has a DCA, then they will need to contact the EMC DCA Support team to request any required DCA OS patches. A ticket can be open at "support.emc.com".

If the customer's hardware is anon-DCA, then they will need to contact their hardware vendor for any required OS patches.
