Environment

Pivotal Container Service (PKS) Version 1.0
NSX-T Version 2.1

Symptom

During the installation of PKS tile, NSX-T validation errand fails when a number of CPU cores are less than 8 in NSX-T Edge node VMs.

Cause

While installing PKS tile if post deploy errands are on for the NSX-T Validation errand, this errand tries to validate your NSX-T configuration and will tag the proper resources. While doing so it checks resource configuration of NSX-T components. If the NSX-T edge node is configured with less than 8 cores, the pre-check fails.

Resolution

Follow these instructions to change the number of cores to 8 for the edge node VM.
