PULSE.log.n files in home directory

A number of files like "PULSE.log.0" and "PULSE.log.0.lck" are being created in the home directory of the user running our Gemfire servers. I couldn't find where to configure the location of these files. Please advise,

You can specify the location (directory) and name of the pulse log using these properties in the pulse.properties file:

pulse.Log-File-Name=pulse.log
pulse.Log-File-Location=.

Thanks. We are using embedded mode and don't currently use a pulse.properties file (ie, we are dynamically passing jmx-manager-http-port in the set of properties to the CacheFactory constructor). We are also dynamically setting the "log-file" property. Is there a way to dynamically configure this without having a pulse.properties file?

You can set those same property names as system properties like below. Does that work for you?

gfsh start locator --name=locator --port=23456 --J=-Dpulse.Log-File-Name=pulse --J=-Dpulse.Log-File-Location=.
